311 Keeps “Universal Pulse” Alive With Release On Their Own Label (Street Date)

311 is back with their 10th studio release, Universal Pulse. The guys took to their very own Hive Studio in North Hollywood, CA to record and mix Universal Pulse with acclaimed producer Bob Rock (Aerosmith, Motley Crue, Offspring, Metallica). Although they’re creative collaboration with Bob Rock isn’t a first, Universal Pulse marks 311′s first release on their own imprint, 311 Records.

Universal Pulse features new reggae-rock melodies that 311 fans have grown to expect and have been itching for since the release of their last studio album,Uplifter in 2009. Although Universal Pulse offers the shortest tracklist of any previous album, songs such as their first single “Sunset In July” as well as “And A Ways To Go” more than make up for the lack of tracks.

“Sunset In July” hit alternative radio waves on June 6th.

You can catch 311 through August 26th joined by Sublime with Rome on their Unity Tour 2011. Click here for show dates and cities.
