Be listening to Power 105 in July to win tickets to see 311 and Sublime with Rome, Sunday, July 17 at The LC – Lifestyle Communities Pavilion in Columbus!
Sure to be the party of the summer, 311 and Sublime with Rome have joined forces for the 2011 Unity Tour. 311 bassist P-Nut states, “This is the tour we’ve been waiting for!” Omaha natives 311 have been playing rock since the early 90s and gained a reputation as one of the most entertaining live bands in the U.S. after years of touring. The band has a massive grassroots following and a catalog of popular hits, including “All Mixed Up,” “Come Original,” and “You Wouldn’t Believe.” All of their nine studio albums have been in the top 15 of the Billboard 200, with eight of their songs breaking the top 5 on the Billboard Modern Rock Radio chart. The band has toured with acts like Matisyahu, Snoop Dogg, the Wailers and Fugazi.

Joining 311 is Sublime with Rome, a collaboration between Eric Wilson, Bud Gaugh, and Rome Ramirez, formerly of Sublime. Although Rome is a newcomer, he lent his distinctive voice to The Dirty Heads’ recent #1 modern rock hit, “Lay Me Down.” They are currently recording their highly anticipated debut album with producer Paul Leary (Butthole Surfers, Sublime, Meat Puppets) which is set for release this summer. The band first came together in 2009 for a series of high-profile shows. A worldwide headlining tour followed, drawing packed houses and rave reviews. Sublime with Rome carries on the legacy of Sublime, one of the most influential ska-punk bands of all time. Over the past few years, Unity Tour has included Snoop Dogg, the Offspring, Matisyahu, The Wailers and The Roots. Don’t miss this year’s Unity Tour with 311 and Sublime with Rome at The LC Outdoors July 17, sure to be the biggest and best yet!
