311 reveal plans for summer tour (Boston Music Spotlight)

Perennial summertime favorites 311 have revealed plans for their latest “Unity” summer tour. The band will make their way to Massachusetts for a show at the Comcast Center in Mansfield on Saturday, July 23. Tickets for the show, which range in price from $20 to $49.50, are now on sale through Live Nation. Opening the show will be Sublime with Rome.

311 will be touring in support of a new, yet-to-be-named, album produced by Bob Rock. No release date has been revealed for the new album, through it es expected to arrive sometime this summer. It will be the band’s tenth studio effort and first since 2009′s Uplifter,

Sublime with Rome, comprised of drummer Bud Gaugh and bass player Eric Wilson – both founding members of Subline – alongside singer/guitarist Rome, are currently in the studio with producer Paul Leary (Sublime, Butthole Surfers) working on their highly anticipated debut album, due out this summer.
