311 A Summer Staple (Rip Read & Rock)

Whether there’s a new album on not, one thing fans have come to count on is there will be a 311 tour over the summer. Bassist P-Nut says it’s one thing the group has realized is a must to keep things going. He tells us, “We take the summer on. We tackle the summer. We’ve only taken one summer off and it probably saved the band, but we also at that point realized how important it was or maybe when we started touring in the summer it was like, ‘Man, we gotta keep this going.’” P-Nut says in general the band feel like they’re in the perfect place with this new album and the summer run. He adds, “We’re in this perfect sweet spot….We’re in this really nice plateaued ten-album, 21-year plateau that’s just perfect for us and people come to see the show to have a good time and that’s what we offer.” 311’s “Unity” tour continues tomorrow in Pittsburgh.
