Both bands have new albums coming out this summer, making the run even more interesting with plenty of new music as well as fan favorites. Beginning July 8 outside Kansas City at Bonner Springs’ Capitol Federal Park at Sandstone July 8, the two-month tour also includes stops at just about every major shed in the U.S., including the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre in Maryland Heights, Mo. (July 9), DTE Energy Music Theatre north of Detroit in Clarkston, Mich. (July 13), Riverbend Music Center in Cincinnati (July 16), Nikon At Jones Beach Amphitheatre in Wantagh, N.Y. (July 22), Jiffy Lube Live in Bristow, Va., near Washington D.C. (July 29) and the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, Calif. (Aug. 23.) Last stop on the routing is Redmond, Wash., at the Marymoor Amphitheatre Aug. 26.
The tour will also play the brand spanking new multi-day event called the Pow Wow Festival in Live Oak, Fla., at the Suwannee Music Park. While the festival is scheduled for Aug. 4-6, 311 will appear Aug. 5-6 and for the very first time will play the Transistor album from start to finish.
